Supreme Court Judges and Bar Association Express Deep Condolences on Ahmedabad Plane Crash

Chief Justice of India Justice B.R. Gavai along with other Judges of the Supreme Court and senior officials of the Supreme Court Registry has expressed heartfelt condolences to the families affected by the Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad.

The unfortunate incident occurred soon after the aircraft took off from the Ahmedabad airport for London. The aircraft reportedly crashed into the premises of the BJ Medical College and Civil Hospital, raising serious concerns about the safety of the hospital staff, patients and residents of the area.

The Chief Justice of India said, "At this difficult time, our condolences and prayers are with them. May they find strength and solace in the support of their loved ones."

The Chief Justice also expressed concern for the well-being of those present in the hospital premises, recognising the emotional and physical impact caused by the crash.

Apart from the judiciary, the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) and the Supreme Court Advocates-on-Record Association (SCAORA) also expressed their grief over the tragic incident. Both the associations expressed their deepest condolences to the bereaved families and extended their support to all those affected.

"We deeply mourn the loss of lives and express our solidarity with the families of the victims," ​​the representatives of SCBA and SCAORA said.

The entire legal community stands united in this hour of grief and prays for the peace of the departed souls and speedy recovery of the injured persons. The judiciary and legal associations also urged to provide all necessary assistance to the families of the victims and those affected by the tragedy.
